Air Quality Analysis
DESCRIPTION
This project shows the evolution of the Air Quality Index (AQI) for the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, and Guangzhou, in China.
RESULT
Results are presented in a Power BI dashboard with discovered trends and patterns for each city and the whole country.
The three worst categories of AQI show a decreasing trend, with all of them showing less throughout the analyzed years. This suggests that the air quality improved in the six year period.
From the four cities analyzed, Guangzhou is the city with the lowest level of unhealthy air quality, while Shenyang is the one with the highest pollution level.
The 'Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups' is the most frequent category for the four cities analyzed.
During warmer months, air quality seems to improve, with the 'Very Unhealthy' category almost disappearing. Colder months have shown much higher AQI levels.
Comparing pollution levels from 2015 to 2020, there's a clear positive evolution of the air quality for all four cities.
With green and red representing lower and higher levels of AQI, respectively, 2020 shows a less polluted China than 2015.
